Flowers can be more than just pretty- they can be food. If you prepare them right, they are delicious and good for you, too!

FLOWER COOKIES

You will need

1/2 cup dandelion flowers
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup dry oatmeal
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla

1. Preheat oven to 375\'b0F. Make sure to have an adult help you!
2. Wash the dandelions well before you use them, and make sure to take off all the green parts.
3. Mix the honey, oil, vanilla, and eggs in a big bowl. Then stir in the flour, oatmeal, and dandelion flowers.
4. Lightly oil or spray a cookie sheet so the cookies don't stick, then put the batter on it. The cookies will get bigger in the oven, so leave some space between each of them.
5. Bake them for 10-15 minutes, and enjoy!

SUNNY'S SNACK (makes 25)

You will need...

4oz muenster cheese
\f1 4oz cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon red pepper
2/3 cup roasted sunflower seeds (no shells)

1. Blend the cheeses well. If you have a food processor, use that.
2. Mix in the Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and red pepper.
3. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes, then divide and roll in the sunflower seeds.
4. Chill for a couple hours to harden it.
5. Serve as a snack with crackers.
